RACE DAY INFO
Governors Island is accessible by boat only.
The ferry will depart the Governors Island Ferry Terminal/Battery Maritime Building, 10 South Street, NY, NY (adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal),
at 8 a.m. sharp.
Runners will need their Oyster Classic bib to board.
Runners MUST be on the 8 a.m. ferry.
The race will start at 9 a.m.
Once on the island, just off the ferry, you will find directions to the NY Harbor School and the start/finish line. Bag check* and toilets will be available in the same area.
Water tables with cups will be available at the start and the finish areas. Bring a water bottle with you to fill up at the island's water filing stations along the course. We’ll meet you and your spectators at the finish line with bagels and fresh fruit.
The New York Oyster Classic 5K is held rain or shine, and we are unable to offer registration refunds.

DIRECTIONS TO THE FERRY
The ferry operates between the Battery Maritime Building (BMB) in Lower Manhattan and Soissons Dock on Governors Island. The trip is approximately 8 minutes in duration.
The BMB is accessible by:
Subway: 1 Train to South Ferry, the R train to Whitehall/South Ferry, or the 4 or 5 train to Bowling Green.
Bus: Service to Lower Manhattan includes: M5, M20, M15, BM1, BM2, BM3, BM4.
